The Photosynthesis is for sale, in sets of ten units at a time. We are a very small company and our resources limit us to handmaking small batches for the time being. We have many dreams about scaling up and introducing new instruments. However, for now, we want to focus on making sure every unit is of high quality and everyone who buys one is completely satisfied. If you're able to buy an instrument here, it means we have one for you! If not, it probably means we're sold out until we make more.

Return Policy:
We hope people enjoy this instrument as much as we have, however, we do understand that it won't be for everyone. If you want to return a Photosynthesis within 30 days of purchasing, please email us at kyle@olydianmusic.com and we'll arrange to have you send it back.
Solar Charging:
This instrument has solar charging built into the case. Solar power is an amazing technology and worth investing in. To use the solar charging, you only need to do is plug the included power cord from the top part of the case to the bottom. The instrument will take around 8 hours of direct sunlight to fully charge. You can also charge the instrument using a regular 5 volt USB C charger. You can charge through a glass window, but it will be less efficient.

The Photosynthesis is a portable, solar-powered, generative MIDI synthesizer and drum machine. It has a unique tonal touch keyboard, which can be selected to play in any key and 16 different musical scales. It features a powerful arpeggiator and sequencer, which can be controlled very precisely, or let loose to create new and unexpected results.
The built-in sounds are made with beautiful, nostalgic, wavetable synthesis. There is MIDI out, so you can control other instruments with this one. There are also built-in effects.
The case is made from a hardwood: North American Cherry. The solar charging top piece of the case comes standard and protects the instrument from damage while on the move.
Note: as of March 2025, MIDI clock sync is not included in the intrument. You can send note information and program chages over MIDI, but not clock sync. We are working on adding this feature soon.
